Do we collect information from you? - Yes, in some cases, depending on the features you choose to use. See below for exactly what is collected and why
Do we use cookies? - No, Archery Link does not use cookies.
What is stored on your device? - The rounds and scores you create are stored in this app's private storage area, which only Archery Link can access. This is not separately encrypted by Archery Link, but benefits from your device's own disk encryption when your device is locked or protected by a passcode.
GPS location (optional) - If you choose to record a location for a round, your coordinates and a generated map image are stored on your device with that round. Fetching the map image sends those coordinates to Google's Maps service. This location is not sent to Golden Records.
Golden Records (a third party) - If you choose to link a Golden Records account, your Golden Records username and password, your club, your selected age category and gender category, and your completed scorecards (including any scoresheet image or PDF you choose to upload) are sent to Golden Records in order to manage your scores, score history, and Archery GB progress Classifications and Handicaps. Your Golden Records username and password are securely stored in Apple's "Keychain" technology, and can be deleted at any time from Main menu > Golden Records > Golden Records Login: select the account and tap the remove account icon, which removes its username and password from the keychain. This information is only sent if you choose to use Golden Records, and its use by Golden Records is governed by their own privacy policy, not ours.
Archery GB - Archery Link does not send data to, or receive data from, Archery GB directly. Archery GB progress Classifications and Handicaps are calculated within the app using Archery GB's published tables; if you submit scores to Golden Records, any onward use by Archery GB is between Golden Records and Archery GB.
Crash reports and usage statistics (optional) - If you allow it (you are asked when you first open the app, and can change this at any time from Main Menu> Settings> Extra Settings), crash reports and usage statistics are sent to Google's Firebase. Crash reports include your device model and the app's recent log, which can include your name and scores. Usage statistics show which screens are used and are not linked to your name. Both are used only to fix faults and improve the app.
Contacting us with a diagnostic log and optional copy of your database - If you email us and choose to attach your device's Archery Link diagnostics log and/or database file, it is sent only to us, via your own email app, and may include technical details such as your device make and model. It is never sent automatically. NB: diagnostic support files are deleted from the Developer's systems once the issue has been identified and rectified.
Backups and exports - Archery Link does not operate its own backend server. Any backup file, exported analysis file, or screenshot you create is saved to your own device and, if you choose, your own personal cloud storage (such as iCloud) - NB: Archery Link has no access to these once exported from the app or stored outside its own managed on-device folder filestore.
iCloud backup - Archery Link also keeps one backup copy of your rounds and scores in your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit private database. This enables migration from one iPhone to a new iPhone. This is switched on by default and can be turned off at any time with the iCloud Backup switch on the Backup & Restore Rounds screen in Main Menu> Settings>. The copy is held in your own Apple Account and counts towards your own iCloud storage, and its handling by Apple is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours. NB: The iCloud-held ArcheryLink database backup copy is not sent to us, we do not operate any server that receives it, and nobody other than you, including us, is able to read it. You can delete it at any time from your iOS Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties? - Only as described above: to Golden Records if you choose to use it, and to Google's Firebase (Crashlytics and Analytics) if you allow crash reports and usage statistics. NB: We do not collate, keep or sell your information.

Archery Link is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children. The data described above is only collected as a result of your own deliberate actions, such as choosing to link a Golden Records account, record a GPS location, allow crash reports and usage statistics, or emailing diagnostic and database logs.
